Mo' Creatures Wolves are different from Vanilla Wolves, as they only spawn during the night and are untamable. Similar to Rats, they won't attack at day unless provoked, but will attack you at low light levels like at night time. They are fairly weak and hunt small animals, and drop Leather upon death. Unlike other night-spawning Mobs, they do not burn up during the daytime.
