Tanks are a part of the BuildCraft mod and are used to storeoil, water, lava, fuel and creosote oil. They are a good way to store liquids and can hold 16 buckets in one block. They can also be placed on top of each other. So 1 tank is 16 buckets of storage, 2 tanks net 32 buckets of storage and so on.

Liquids can be pumped out of tanks using a wooden waterproof pipe (An engine is required), connected to other waterproof pipes. Liquids can also be pumped in using most waterproof pipes. However, when a tank is broken that has liquid in it, the liquid is destroyed.

Tanks require 8 glass blocks. Put the glass blocks in a square shape as you would for a wooden chest.
