Usage Edit

Scaffolds are placed by right clicking on the desired location. Unlike standard blocks, left clicking on a Scaffold with another Scaffold equipped will place it on top of the existing scaffolding.

The stack-able nature of scaffolding allows the player to create climbable, modular towers instead of jumping and placing blocks beneath themselves. Once the player is done with the scaffolding, by removing the base scaffold block, all of the scaffolding using it as support will also collapse as drops.

Scaffolding may also be extended sideways from an existing scaffolding tower by right clicking on the desired attachment face of the scaffolding block, making sure the player is clear of the area first. However there are caveats to such extensions; see the Limitations section.

Another useful feature of scaffolding is that it can be used as framework for Construction Foam, allowing the player to create floors, walls, ceilings, etc., for any building they wish to create.

Limitations Edit

Scaffolds must be placed on a solid block , or be connected to scaffolding that is directly or indirectly supported by a solid block. This makes scaffolding vulnerable to creeper explosions, as well as other types of explosions. An example of such an explosion may be found by viewing Minecraft Tekkit Part #21 - The Condensables.

When extending scaffolding sideways from existing scaffolding towers, they are able to support up to two suspended scaffolding blocks away from the main tower. If a player wishes to extend scaffolding further, they may reinforce Scaffolds using sticks. This is done by right-clicking on an existing scaffolding block with at least two sticks equipped; creating a Reinforced Scaffold. This allows scaffolding to be extended a further three blocks without support underneath, for a total of five suspended scaffolding blocks.
