Frame Motor is a machine able to move other blocks around. It may be considered as a upgraded version of a Sticky Piston.
Frame motor can directly move only Support Frames, however all blocks attached to the frame will be transfered as well. This capability brings a whole new field of industrial design to Minecraft, including doors, gates, moving platforms, cranes, quarries and even frame motor powered aircraft.
Determining the direction of movement.
Usage[]
Frame Motors must have Blulectric power in order to move frames or other blocks. When powered with both Bluetricity and a redstone pulse, the motor will try to move any block on its active side in the direction indicated by the arrow on that side.
The "top", active side is determined when the Frame Motor is placed, then being the side facing the player's view. Right-clicking with a Screwdriver or Sonic Screwdriver can change the direction of the arrow (but not reorient the active side). To reorient the active side (but not change the direction of the arrow), one must shift-right-click with a Screwdriver or Sonic Screwdriver.
If the block connected to the side is a Support Frame, it will try to move the whole frame and connected blocks. A Cover can be placed to keep blocks touching frames from moving. Blocks that are not adjacent to a frame will not be moved, and can block the movement of the frame assembly. Blocks that are not Support Frames, including other Frame Motors, can be moved, but will not move blocks attached to them.
Frame motors can make buildcraft pipes disappear - so caution is advised. Use Pneumatic Tubes instead.
