The Dark Infuser is a thaumaturgic piece of machinery from the Thaumcraft mod with which you can create items from the Forbidden Knowledge research tree.
Description[]
The dark infuser works in a similar way to the regular Thaumic Infuser except that it is used to create objects of a more malevolent nature. It requires some tainted Vis in addition to pure Vis; without upgrades, it uses a 33% tainted and 66% pure mixture.It also seems to not enchant normal items.
As long as the dark infuser is active, it constantly adds two points charge to the atmospheric Taint of the chunk it is in (see Aura Mechanics for a comprehensive Aura charging overview). The taint is repeatedly charged based on the time it takes to infuse the item.
The infusion speed is determined by the phase of the moon. The fuller the moon, the faster the infusion.
