A Buffer Gate is exactly that, a buffer. It functions as a diode. The 3 output sides match the input side.
The triangular end is the output end, where the end with a "tail" is the input. Whenever the input receives a current, the other three sides are activated. If any of the non-input sides receive a current, nothing happens.
